Security Fencing:

Apex Fencing had the opportunity to work with Cobalt Interiors to complete the fencing and gates around the newly refurbished NZ Blood facilities in Epsom, Auckland.

The project ran over several months with various deadlines that had to be met. Working hand in hand with Fulton Hogan to meet these deadlines, safety and security was our highest priority. We provided high levels of health and safety to meet the requirements of the neighboring school and certain areas had to be completed outside of school hours.

Our goal was to create a secure one way route around the facility to allow deliveries to run smoothly. With two Sliding gates and a Double Swing gate, all automated, the goal was achieved.

Scope and Products used:

  1. Fencelab “Lennox” standard panels as well as custom manufactured panels all in powder coated finish

  2. Fencelab “Lennox” custom manufactured Double swing gates and Sliding gates

  3. Roger’s automation including battery backup, photocells and keypads.

Security Fencing

Security Fencing:

Keeping your premises secure is our priority.

The sad fact is, New Zealand’s rate of break-ins and theft is increasing daily. The only way to deter criminals from taking what is yours, is to make it harder for them. By protecting your property with a security fence to suit your specific needs, you are making a statement that you are not an easy target to opportunists.

Different types of security fences:

  • Tubular steel or aluminium panel fence with spike top (Relatively fast security fence to install and have a non-invasive / almost modern look)

  • Chainlink fence that can include barbed wire, razor wire and electric fence (Chainlink fence by itself serves its purpose as a security fence by deterring criminals but it can be damaged easily if the effort is made. By adding further security features to your standard chainlink fence it can be taken from a moderate security fence to a highly effective security fence.)

  • Anti-climb 358 mesh (A high level of security. This fence is anti-climb and cannot be cut with a standard hand tool, even when using a power tool this tough material is exceedingly difficult to cut through.)

  • Heavy duty palisade (A strong, high level security fence. This fence sends the message that you are not welcome, do not enter!)

Additional Options:

There are additional design options that you can choose from to customize your security fence.

Driveway Gates | Apex Fencing

driveway-gates-apex-fencing.jpg

Driveway Gates:

The driveway gate is often the most prominent feature of the front of your home and Apex Fencing is the perfect partner to assist you in the process of designing and installing your new gates and fences. We assist from the initial stages of deciding on the best solution for your property, to bringing it all to reality.

There are many different gate designs to choose between and the price depends on the size, style and the extras added to it, for example, automation.

A standard, driveway gate is roughly around 3m wide and 1.8m high, but as we custom make all our driveway gates to fit each job, the options are endless.

The different styles of driveway gates include:

  • Single Swing (One large gate that hinges on a single post and spans the entire driveway)

  • Double Swing (Two gates that are similar in size that hangs off a post on either side of the driveway and meets in the middle)

  • Sliding gate (A gate that covers the driveway when closed, slides along a track on the floor in order to open off one side of the driveway)

  • Cantilever gate (Another sliding option, but this option does not require a track on the floor as it runs on a track mounted to the gate and suspends the gate across the driveway. A good option if there are heavy vehicles using the driveway)

Aluminium gates and fence panels have become very popular over the last few years and are in my opinion the best option for most residential and many commercial applications. Some of the reasons are.

  • The material has become more accessible and affordable.

  • Aluminium does not require treatment to prevent rust as steel does.

  • Much lighter, making handling easier and faster.

  • We can span swing gates across larger driveways with ease

  • Less wear and tear on gate posts and motors over time.

Timber Fencing

Apex Timber Fencing

Timber Fencing Styles and Cost:

Timber fencing is a cost-effective boundary fence for residential properties. Timber fencing has a range of styles and heights to suit your requirements. These vary from 900mm to 2.4m in height, after which you may need council approval if you want to go higher.

Depending on your property, a standard timber fence can range from $105.00 per meter for an entry-level, up to $180.00 per meter for a more premium style.

Most Common Boundary Fences:

At Apex Fencing, we have two popular building styles for timber fencing, as follow:

  1. Standard Timber Style

This type allows for 100x75mm posts, 75x 50mm rails and 150x19mm palings. Depending on your preferred construction, this type of fence can range from $105.00 per meter to $180.00 per meter.

  2. Premium Timber Style

This style allows for 100x100mm posts, 100x50mm rails and 150x25mm palings. Depending on your preferred construction, this type of fence can range from $115.00 per meter to $190.00 per meter.

Additional Options:

There are still additional design options you can choose from. For example, the rails can either be fitted on the face of the posts or cut and fitted in-between the posts. We offer capping options to improve the aesthetic look of your fence. These are available in both rough sawn and machine gauge.

Other Timber Fencing designs include Laminata, Acoustic, shiplap and slat fencing. These styles are all timber finished and each have their own unique benefit.

Chainlink Fencing is a great cost-effective fencing option for your commercial property. This type of fence is one of the most inexpensive perimeter fencing options and provides good security around your property perimeter.

Chainlink fencing options range from .9mH to 3.6mH. This fence type can include a top and/or bottom rail, with barb and/or razor wire for extra security measures. Apex Fencing can also build and install sliding or swing chainlink driveway and pedestrian gates.

Some advantages that chainlink fencing offers include:

  • Can easily be repaired if damaged and extended or reduced in length

  • Can be installed on slopes and turns

  • Can add electric fencing options

  • Chainlink fencing is fully recyclable

Apex Fencing use chainlink that are made locally, here in New Zealand. Our supplier offers a 25mm and 50mm diamond size, with 2.5mm or 3.15mm gauged wire. Fencing costs can fluctuate between these materials and the design and heights you require.
